As an Australian Street Aid Project employee or volunteer, please ensure that you:
Become familiar with our vision, mission, and values, and work towards creating a successful, positive, and supportive workplace. This means taking responsibility for learning about our organisation and your duties.
Follow all reasonable, lawful instructions and decisions related to your work.
Make sure you follow all our policies, procedures, and rules and maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Ensure familiarity with and adherence to your Work Health and safety obligations and our procedures.
Maintain confidentiality of information obtained during your work, including personal information of service users, volunteers, and staff.
Not discriminate against service users, co-workers and other stakeholders and inform our service users of their rights regarding the services we provide to them.
Show respect for and understanding of the needs of people experiencing homelessness and others.
People who reflect the diversity of cultures in our region.
People with complex needs.
Respect and value each individual person including their identity, gender, sexuality, culture, age and religious beliefs.
Learn about the relevant supports available in our community.
Support all eligible persons to access the resources, services, and opportunities available through us.
Maintain a high level of ethics, integrity, honesty, and professionalism in working with service users, volunteers, co-workers, supervisors and community members.
Ensure that your personal values, if contrary to our philosophy, vision, mission, and goals are neither practised nor exercised during service delivery or your interactions with other staff, volunteers, service users and stakeholders.
Contribute to a positive workplace people culture.
