Through community support, Chances House is able to open its doors five days a week to people experiencing homelessness and provide:
Meals (breakfast, light lunch & weekend packs)
Healthcare (Nurse & Care Zen Virtual Health Pod)
Basic amenities & helpful resources
Essential items & clothing
Professional case management & social support
Volunteer-led peer support
Co-location opportunities for other services
Advocacy, transportation, pet care assistance & more…
We also operate Chances Night Bus which provides up to 9 people a safe place to sleep every Friday night and we are seeking more volunteers to expand operating days.
Your donation helps change & save lives…
It’s just who we are…
Welcome to…
Chances
Where everyone matters,
nobody is given up on,
& every donation helps us to
save & change lives.
We are the house that this community built, brick by brick. We believe every person deserves a home, nobody should go without food, and that systemic change is both vital and possible. Up to 90 people walk through our doors each day and we treat each one with kindness, dignity & respect. We don’t give up on people or put them in the ‘too hard’ basket. We advocate fiercely. We identify and fill gaps in our system. We pursue change and opportunities relentlessly.
We know from experience that when we bring a person out of ‘survival mode’, they have a much better capacity to address the barriers they face & engage better with available support. The strength of a community should be measured by the level of support it offers to its most vulnerable members.
What we do matters…

Our services are a lifeline for many
We rely heavily on the generosity of lots of small donations from people like you to continue doing the vital work we do. It’s what has kept our doors open since 2019!
We work to keep our administrative costs as low as possible so that your donation goes right where it’s needed most, because we know that you want it to have a real impact (and so do we!).
Please consider making a small regular (or one off) donation. It makes a BIG difference for the many people we help every day.
What we’ve achieved so far…(and we’re not finished yet!)
We don’t just talk the talk. We walk the walk. We find gaps in our system/services and work hard to fill them with the support of our community, to ensure that people experiencing homelessness have their basic needs met, suffer less, and to create pathways our of homelessness. Our aim is closure. We want to see a day where our service is no longer needed in our community.
